What brand of shampoo and conditioner would be best for my thick curly hair?

I have very thick curly hair that is about 4 or 5 inches longer than shoulder length. Whatever the shampoo and conditioner attempt [and I have not tried that many] think my hair rough and dry. What brand shampoo and conditioner that is best for my hair type?

TIGI products are great for all hair types. My sister used Bed Head & Cat Walk for curly hair. They are a bit expensive but worth the money. They are sold almost everywhere.
